Silk Bridal Salon_Team_1000.jpg

Amy got her start in bridal as a stylist with Lady L in the early 90's until going on maternity leave. Amy returned to bridal in 2012 where she was both a stylist and manager at Silk Bridal Studio under its original ownership where she stayed along with Evie through its sale up until the sample sales portion of the business was closed in June  2017.

In her free time she likes to spend time walking or just relaxing on the beach with her fiancé. Live music, a good brunch complete with mimosas, and her dog are some of the other things that make an ideal day for Amy. She loves trying all sorts of styles and the excitement around finding a "dream dress," and working one on one with a bride to get there!

Evie first started working in bridal during high school as a runner when the stylists at Pure English and Silk needed extra hands on busy weekends. She eventually started as a stylist herself in 2015 at Silk Bridal Studio and stayed on with Amy as a dynamic mother-daughter team across multiple locations and name changes as everything from social media manager to creative team member until it was closed in June 2017.

She has a soft spot for all things vintage, her cats, and old rock and roll. If she could hop in a time machine and go see some concerts, she would do it in a heartbeat. Evie loves seeing brides’ dress visions come to life, and thinks there’s nothing more special than that moment when a bride realizes that she’s standing in “the one” she will walk down the aisle in!

Amy and Evie then decided to reopen Silk Bridal Studio themselves in it's original Virginia Beach home and keep doing what they both love.
